My sister cooked up this beautiful crock pot of collard greens for Thanksgiving dinner. 

Collard greens done right!! They were tender and flavorful, with a little bit of a spicy kick! Did I tell you that I really like spicy stuff? Oh, I did?? LOL  Of course I did!! Love the color in this pic too!! 

Starting the Collard Greens

No soul food dish would be complete without collard greens!  At least in my opinion.  The funny thing is, I've never made them before.

I found out what a process it is to clean, chop and cook them!  It takes a while, but it was worth it.  Here is the first steps to making the collard greens.
