Calamari - Morgan's Restaurant

I can remember a time long ago, that I was too afraid to even try calamari. Then one day, I got over my fear and gave it a try.  I have been a huge fan of calamari ever since that day!!

I'll admit, I like it best when it is flash fried.  

In the foreground of the pic below, is a beautiful serving of fried calamari with three different sauces.  There is a marinara sauce, a honey mustard sauce and a Sriracha mayo sauce.

Smoked Seared Tuna

This was THE best seared tuna I have ever tasted!! My daughter brought this tuna home, and I was so busy eating it, I forgot to ask her where she got it from!!

It was so melt in your mouth good, I want more!! The smokiness was just right, not overwhelming at all.

On a scale of one to ten: OFF THE CHARTS!! 

Pesto Cavatappi - Noodles and Company

Just feast your eyes on this awesome dish!!! I've never heard if Pesto Cavatappi, but I would sure order this again!!

Pesto is one of my favs, so when they brought this dish out, my eyes lit up!! Yummy goodness is all I have to say!!

The pork that you've seen on the top of some of their dishes is just a serving suggestion, the dish doesn't automatically come with it.  They chose to put it on some of or dishes so that we could see one of the options.

Asian Chop Salad - Noodles and Company

This Asian Chop salad was to die for!! I love salads, and I can't stand it when I get a salad that is subpar!! :-)

Not with this one!! It not only looked appetizing, but it was OH so good!! This was part of my food tasting experience, which was AWESOME!!

Bangkok Curry - Noodles and Company

Recently, I did a food tasting at Noodles and Company, and it was an awesome experience.  I was thinking to myself, this MUST be how celebrities feel!!  

The brought out numerous dishes for my group and I to taste.  It's hard to say which dish I liked best, because i loved them all.

In the pic below is a beautiful Bangkok curry dish with pork. The pork was melt in your mouth and the dish was bursting with flavor.

I would definitely recommend this if you have the chance to go there!!  Yummy!!!

Best Big, Fat Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

I wanted the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe that I could find, and guess what?? I found it on the Allrecipes.com Web site.

These cookies are melt in your mouth, chocolaty goodness!!! My family couldn't stop eating them...yes, that includes me!! In the pic below are the first batch to come out the oven.  Yummy!!!!

Lemon Chicken - Ton Kiang

This chicken made my daughter's husband forget the fact that he said he didn't like chicken!! lol

This lemon chicken is THE best lemon chicken I have ever tasted in my life..PERIOD!!!  The lemon sauce is tart and sweet at the same time, the chicken has a crispy skin, and is so moist and juicy inside!!

THE BEST!!!!!! 

Salt and Pepper Scallops - Ton Kiang

Salt and Pepper anything is good to me!! I usually see salt and pepper calamari, or salt and pepper shrimp on the menu, so it is quite a treat to find salt and pepper scallops on the menu!

So delicious!!! I could literally eat the whole plate by myself!!! :-)

Soft Shell Crab - Ton Kiang

This is one of the most beautiful soft shell crabs that I have ever seen on a plate!! On a recent trip to Ton Kiang, I ordered lots of things from their Dim Sum menu, believe it or not, this one of of the items!!

Beautiful AND tasty!!! This crab was succulent, and finger licking good!!!

Just feast your eyes on this beauty!!  I will definitely order this again!! :-) 

Veggie Tempura - Midori Japanese Cuisine

Outside of shrimp tempura, veggie tempura is my all time favorite.  The best that I have found is at Midori Japanese Cuisine!!

They know how to make tempura that just melts in your mouth!! They give a very good mixture of sweet potatoes, carrots, broccoli, green beans and peppers.  Looking at this pic, I want more!!!

Herbed Brie with Crackers

Here is another crowd pleasing appetizer that was served.  It was a hit with the crowd!!

I love brie any way it comes, but it is especially tasty with herbs!!! Very tasty!

Shrimp Cocktail

I attended the retirement party for my boss recently, and one of the appetizers was this wonderful shrimp cocktail!

I'm not sure who made it, but it was awesome.  He chose to have the party at his home, which was awesome, because it made it more personal. 

This was THE perfect shrimp cocktail!!!

Coffee and Breakfast Burrito - Burrito from Adalberto's

I had a nice relaxing day off from work recently, so I made myself a great cup of coffee, topped with whipped cream! 

I enjoyed my cup of coffee along with a mouth watering steak and egg burrito from Adalberto's.

I love moments like these!!!:-)

Very Berry Smoothie - Made by Ty

This is what was left of the berry smoothie that my daughter made.  It was so good, I forgot to take a pic!!!

She used a variety of berries, plain yogurt, water and honey! You can't get much healthier than that!! :-)

Good stuff!!!

Caramel Cheesecake Bites - Del Taco

These are literally little bites of heaven!! These cheesecake bites from Del Taco are nice and warm when you buy them.  They are sweet, but not too sweet and nice and creamy in the center. The crunch on the outside puts the icing on the cake!!

I'll buy the 4 pack and share 2 of them with someone else, because I would eat all 4!!! :-)

Cherry Dipped Vanilla Ice Cream - Dairy Queen

Oh yeah!!! The one and only cherry dipped vanilla ice cream cone from DQ!! Most frosting, and other food products that use red dye tend to be a bit bitter. That is NOT the case with DQ's cherry dipped ice cream.

I really wish I had the recipe to their cherry dip!! It is simply delicious!!! One of the best things about DQ!! :-)

Fried Banana with Coconut Ice Cream - Wat Phou Thai Restaurant

Somebody was feeling really creative in the kitchen!! This is our fried banana with coconut ice cream dessert!!

It's SO cute!!! They made our ice cream and fried banana into an awesome snowman!  Not only was it appealing to the eye, but it was very tasty as well.

Santa Barbara Style Burger - The Habit

The Habit has the perfect name!! It can become a habit if you eat there!! I haven't tasted anything from The Habit that wasn't good!

In the pic below is their Santa Barbara style burger that comes with avocado! You can pretty much customize it from there.  In the background is a pomegranate lemonade and their crispy fries.

Delicious!! 

Macaroni and Cheese Balls

I wanted to try something new, something that I've never cooked before. So for some reason, I had a thought to make macaroni and cheese balls!

I didn't even know if they existed, so I searched the net to see if I could find a recipe.  Plan B was to make a recipe up myself!!

I found a great, easy recipe!! In the pics below are the before and after shots of my mac and cheese balls.

They were so tasty!!! It was like having your own portable mac and cheese!! I loved these, and so did the family!! If you want to try them for yourself, the link to the recipe is below!!  If you do make them, I'm sure you'll love them just as much as I did!!
