Macho Nachos - Del Taco

I was out and about yesterday, and decided to drive through the local Del Taco. There were a lot of items to choose from, but I settled on their nachos.

I don't live in the same city, so saying the "local Del Taco" may not be accurate, because it's not that close.  I'm saying all of this to explain the messy appearance of the nachos.

I was really hungry, so I guess they got tossed about a bit in the car on the way home. lol

Are they as good as my homemade version, I wouldn't go that far, but they are a decent second.  I enjoyed them to the last bite!! :-))

Tacos - El Aguila Mexican Cuisine

Taco Tuesday??? Say what??? Tacos ANYTIME!!  Who could ever get tired of eating tacos?? Not me!!!!

In this pic you see a couple of tacos with mixed mushroom & beef in one, and chicken & mushroom in the other. They are served with fresh onions and cilantro, lemon wedges, radishes and house salsa

My friend that ate these loved them too, surprised, aren't you? lol

Burrito - El Aguila Mexican Cuisine

This place was not messing around when it comes to their burritos, or the other food for that matter. The burrito is absolutely huge!!

This was the Birthday girls pick, and a good one I might add!!

This burrito had: Pork marinated in adobo, filled with Spanish rice, organic whole black beans, pico de gallo, julienne of lettuce, roasted tomatillos, avocado sauce and queso fresco.

Caldo Tlalpeno - El Aguila Mexican Cuisine

I usually get the typical foods when I eat Mexican food, you know, tacos, burritos etc.  This time around, I decided to try this soup.  I saw the pic on the menu and couldn't resist!!

It was a very good choice.  As I've said many times before, I'm a spicy eater. The spicier, the better.  This soup had a little "after-burn," but it wasn't super spicy. It was full of flavor though.

The ingredients were: Hearty all-natural chicken soup with calabacitas, blue lake beans, rice, chayote, potatoes, carrots and a splash of chipotle. Finished up with fresh avocado and 2 tostadas. Yummy!!! :-))

Chili Relleno - Baldo's Mexican Food

That pic below people is a HOT mess, but it was oh SO GOOD!!!!

Even though you can't tell, there is a chili relleno on the left hand side, smothered in cheese, lettuce and hot sauce.  The obvious rice in the middle and refried beans on the right also smothered in cheese and hot sauce.

I love me some Mexican food, and I love to find a place that serves great Mexican food.  Baldo's is one of them.  Put Mexican food and drive-trough in the same breath and you've got me!! haha

The other place that I love, and may love even more is Adalbertos!!!
