I created this blog in order to show beautiful pics of food. Some pics are of dishes that I have cooked, others are from friends, family and various Restaurants. I will also share recipes on this blog. It is meant to be a fun, lighthearted blog where I can just chat about food!!

Grilled Tilapia with Green Beans and Brown Rice
If you haven't noticed by now, I love tilapia!!! I love seafood period, but I've been kind of stuck on tilapia for a while now. I don't care how it's cooked, I'll eat it however I can get it.
I think I like that fact that it's light and flaky when cooked properly. In the pic below, is my grilled tilapia over green beans and brown rice. Hot sauce you say??? YES, lots of it!!! Mmmm, mmmmm good!!!
I don't usually take fish to work with me for obvious reasons, but I couldn't resist this time!!

Easy Bake Tilapia - By Rashida
My daughter is busy at work in the kitchen!! She knows how this works, so she sent me a pic of her dish before it goes in the oven. I'm so proud of her!! She loves to bake things, but she doesn't really like to cook main dishes, so this is a rare treat!!
I'm posting the pre-baked version of her dish. I'm sure it will come out great!! :-))

Thai-Style Tilapia - Elephant Bar
I don't usually buy tilapia when I eat out, because that's my fish of choice at home, but this time I decided to pick it. I'm SO glad that I did, because this Thai-Style tilapia was bursting with flavor and so tender!! I really wished there was a lot more on the plate. I would have eaten two plates of it if no one was looking. :-))
I think I'm going to try to find a recipe and make it my own to share with you on my blog. The rice I chose to pair with the tilapia was brown rice. The Elephant Bar did not disappoint for my Birthday celebration.
Several people told me Happy Birthday on the way out, and one guy even offered to buy drinks for everyone!

Tilapia and Rice
My youngest daughter has been holding out on me!! This girl can cook!!! She has led me to believe that she doesn't cook...translation, she cooks when she's ready to cook. I unfortunately didn't get the rice part, I only got the tilapia which was the bomb!!! This is a pic of her plate with the rice.
I think I'm going to take a step back and let her try her hand in the kitchen to see how it goes...shhh, don't tell her I said that or she'll never cook again!
;-))
Lesson learned: Find out what your kids are really capable of, you will be surprised!
