Rustic Italian Bread - Luna Ristorante

This is the warm delicious crusty rustic Italian bread that Luna serves!  This bread has that fresh out of the oven taste. They don't mess around when it comes to the bread that they serve with their meals.

This bread is good enough to BE your meal!! Funny thing is, I'm not even that much of a bread lover!! I get to Luna and lose my mind over their fresh, tasty bread!! LOL :-))

Sugar Snap Peas - By Janice

Here is another pic of the sugar snap peas from my sister's garden.  She tells me that they are so good, sometimes she doesn't even cook them, she just eats the raw.

I'm going to have to get over to her house ASAP, and get some of these!!!

Veggies from the Garden - By Janice

Here is a pic of some fresh veggies from my sister Janice's garden.  She has lots of veggies in her garden, including tomatoes, but in this pic are some crooked neck yellow squash and some sugar snap peas.

Farm Fresh Eggs

If you are an egg lover like I am, you can appreciate farm fresh eggs!  There is nothing like fresh, no matter what it is you are talking about in regards to food.

My neighbor goes to a farm with her granddaughter, and they bring me these beautiful farm fresh eggs.  It's good to have neighbors who are wonderful people!! :-))

Agua Fresca Cucumber Drink - C Casa

Okay, I'm not really sure what to think of this drink.  It was REAL, I mean really, really REAL!!!! What do I mean by REAL???? I'm SO glad you asked...lol!!

This was a serious drink.  It was like I peeled a cucumber and literally made REAL juice out of it. This drink had more cucumber than it should be legal to have in a drink.

I was like WHOA!!! I think I've had my veggies for the month!! haha  Most definitely FRESH water!!

Fresh Fruit

I have a favorite fruit stand that I go to up towards Dixon, CA.  They have it all, fresh fruit, veggies, seasonings, nuts and even candy!!  The prices are always good and I can always find exactly what I'm looking for.

One thing I've realized is that because the fruit is fresh, you don't get all the preservatives you get in the grocery store fruits and veggies.  You really have to use everything you get pretty quickly or it will start decomposing at a faster rate than the grocery store fruits and veggies.

I learned that the hard way, by having to through out stuff because I assumed it would last longer than it did.

I love fresh fruits and veggies, they are the best!! I'm eyeing those bananas, because it will take a little bit before I can eat them.

Here I have some apples, nectarines, and green bananas.  I have cherries, but they aren't in the pic because they are hanging out in the fridge.  I like my cherries cold for some reason.

JoJo's Marinated Cucumbers

YAY!!! My sister showed up at my house...okay, you got me, it wasn't unannounced because I knew she was coming.  She brought her marinated cucumbers with her for us to try.  One word...delicious!!! I've been wanting to try her marinated cucumbers for a while, so thank you sis for coming through and bringing them with you.

Fair warning to any family members that show up to my house with a dish, or a dish at any family function, because your dish could and most likely will wind up on my food blog!! Love you guys!! :-)
