Persimmons
My mom used to make Persimmon cookies, but before that, I had no idea what this fruit was!
I've learned that there are lots of varieties of this awesome fruit. I think this one is the Fuyu.
My co-worker always brings bags of them in during this time of year.
They have there own unique flavor, and I just LOVE them!!!

Pineapple
I can't get enough of this fruit!! Pineapple is one of my favorite fruits!! I thought I knew what really good pineapple tasted like, until I went to Hawaii!! The pineapple in Hawaii is the BEST I have ever tasted!!
Although I like the pineapple in Hawaii much better than any that I've tasted here, that won't stop me from eating it!!
I wanted to do the fruit justice with this close up!!
Hope you all enjoy this pic!! I sure enjoyed eating it!! :-))

Red Anjou Pear
The pear is such a wonderful fruit!! In fact, pears are one of my favorites!! This is a Red Anjou pear, which my neighbor brought over.
I think I've found a new fav in the pear family!! This pear was juicy, sweet and delicious!! She also brought up a bunch of veggies, like cabbage, sweet potatoes and she also brought us apples.
It's wonderful to have such nice neighbors!! :-))

Goddess Melon
So this pic right here is what a Goddess Melon looks like on the inside. The same as a cantaloupe right?? That's exactly what I thought, and guess what??? It tastes just like a cantaloupe too!!
The only difference I can tell is that the flesh is softer than that of a cantaloupe.
I sprinkled a few grains of sea salt on mine to bring out the flavor even more. It is a VERY tasty melon!!! :-))
So the debate rages on, cantaloupe or not??

Fresh Fruit
I have a favorite fruit stand that I go to up towards Dixon, CA. They have it all, fresh fruit, veggies, seasonings, nuts and even candy!! The prices are always good and I can always find exactly what I'm looking for.
One thing I've realized is that because the fruit is fresh, you don't get all the preservatives you get in the grocery store fruits and veggies. You really have to use everything you get pretty quickly or it will start decomposing at a faster rate than the grocery store fruits and veggies.
I learned that the hard way, by having to through out stuff because I assumed it would last longer than it did.
I love fresh fruits and veggies, they are the best!! I'm eyeing those bananas, because it will take a little bit before I can eat them.
Here I have some apples, nectarines, and green bananas. I have cherries, but they aren't in the pic because they are hanging out in the fridge. I like my cherries cold for some reason.
