Yumbo - Burger King

So, I got sucked in by the commercials advertising this sandwich, which hasn't been on the BK menu for decades!

I was SO curious, that I went out and purchased one! Well, actually I purchased two because it was two for $5!! Who am I to pass up on a deal?? haha

I ate one, and gave one to my daughter.

You know what?? It was actually pretty tasty.  Does it compare to my other sandwich spot, probably not, but still good.

Tuna Melt - Mels

I've come to realize that my daughter likes to tease me!! This was the sandwich she had for lunch today!!

OMG!!! I want one!!!! 

It might be a while before I get one, because I don't live anywhere near a Mels!! I just might have to take a road trip! ;-))

Shrimp Po Boy - Popeyes

This is one of my daughter's all time favorites!! If we are on the go, and I ask her what she wants to eat, nine times out of ten she will say a shrimp po boy from Popeyes!!

I must admit, they are really good!! If you have a Popeyes near you, and haven't tried the shrimp po boy, or the fish po boy, you are missing out!!

I haven't been to Louisiana, but I'd imagine THIS is how they would taste if I bought one there.

Turkey Sandwich on Wheat

As I mentioned in the last post, this Deli was found by accident!! On our way back home, we spotted it on the side of the road.

This was a great decision, because they have some of the most fresh ingredients in their sandwiches.

This is a turkey sandwich on wheat, and basically loaded with everything you can think of with the exception of sprouts.

The turkey is so tender and juicy, not dry at all.  I will definitely make it back to this Deli, and next time, I'll see what the name is.

Chicken Salad Croissant - Mimi's Cafe, Fairfield CA

This was one of the BEST chicken salad sandwiches that I have ever tasted.  Me and the family went to eat out at Mimi's in Fairfield CA, and I couldn't decide what I wanted.  

It's not really like me to order a sandwich in a restaurant, but hey, it was on the menu and it looked good.  It was on a whole grain, but light and flaky croissant, and I ordered fries on the side.  If you ever eat at Mimi's give this one a try, because I don't think you'll be disappointed!!

The sandwich has grilled tarragon chicken salad with red grapes and walnuts on a fresh baked, multi-grain croissant.

Cucumber with Tomato Sandwich

Sometimes getting creative can be really simple when it comes to eating. Sometimes it's more about the shot than the ingredients.  Here I have a very simple sandwich made with tomato, cucumber, cracked pepper olive oil mayo and a little salt and pepper.  The shot did do the sandwich justice, because it was yummy!!

This is one of my favorite sandwiches now.  I decided to switch it up and use spinach instead of lettuce.  It was SO good!!! I think I'll use spinach instead of lettuce from now on.  Here is a pic of it!!
