Salad - Scott's Seafood Restaurant
This is the salad that will be served at the Holiday party for my job. I was chosen as one of the food tasters!! Lucky me, right?? :-))
I forgot the name of this salad, but from the very first bite, it was scrumptious!! I know that it had candied cashews, pomegranates and blue cheese vinaigrette and lots of other flavors happening.
I loved it!!! I think everyone else will love it as well!!

Spinach & Kale Salad - By Janice
Here is a beautiful spinach & kale salad made by my big sis Janice!! She brought this salad over to my house, along with the muffins.
I'm telling you, I have great sisters!!! They both cook, and they both like to share!!
I ate some of this last night with some blue cheese vinaigrette, and it was one of the BEST salads that I have tasted in a long time!!
I didn't ask her, but I'm pretty sure she used some garlic powder in it. YUM!!

Crab Louie - Diamond Cafe
I bought a rather interesting Crab Louie today! That little fuzzy looking ball on the left is the crab meat stuffed inside of an avocado!
I have eaten a lot of Crab Louie's, but never one quite like this!! I'm still not sure what to make of it, because it didn't have the "traditional" Crab Louie taste to it.
It was okay, but not great. Hopefully they stick the the traditional kind next time. I think the chef was getting creative, which is cool, I guess. lol

Salad - Lunch Today
I know it doesn't look like it, but trust me, there is an actual salad underneath all the stuff you see! Today was the first time that I ever tasted kale. I've avoided it forever, because it just didn't sound good to me.
I ran into a co-worker who told me it was good, so I decided to get a piece of kale on top of my salad. The kale is citrus infused, and to my shock and surprise, it was delicious!!! Because I was scared to try it, I only had one piece and wished I had more. Oh well, next time!!
For this salad, I had romaine lettuce, mushrooms, black olives, jalapenos (that spicy side I just can't get away from...lol), tomatoes, boiled eggs, artichoke hearts, pita chips and that lonely piece of kale you see on top there.
Brace yourselves, it might seem kind of strange to you, but I love to mix balsamic vinegar with blue cheese dressing...IKR?? There was no blue cheese to be found, and I was appalled!! If you could have seen my face when I realized it wasn't there for a second day in a row, I'm sure you would have had a good laugh. Low and behold, I was reduced to ranch dressing...BUT, it worked so all was well.
Loved it!!!

Chinese Chicken Salad
So I was sitting around the house thinking about dinner. It was another one of those "can't think of anything that I would like to eat" moments. A cousin asked for a recipe of mine on Facebook, and as I shared it with her, I asked for one of hers. She gave me a recipe for Chinese Chicken Salad, which sounded delicious! I gave it a try, with my own little add-ins and my family LOVED it!! It's good to have a family that can cook!
Tuna Salad Sandwich
Betty's Tuna Salad Sandwich
This is one of my favorite sandwiches now. I decided to switch it up and use spinach instead of lettuce. It was SO good!!! I think I'll use spinach instead of lettuce from now on. Here is a pic of it!!
