Shrimp and Grits - Green Eggs Cafe

I absolutely love grits!! I can eat them any kind of way they are served!! In the pic below is as delicious dish of Bacon Creole Shrimp and Grits from the Green Eggs Cafe in Miami.

My sister sent this yummy pic to me while she was in Miami to watch my niece graduate!

I will be sure to stop at the Green Eggs Cafe to taste this dish for myself!! It looks so tasty!! 

Caeser Salad - Noodles and Company

I adore Caesar salads!! Like I said in my last post, PLEASE don't give me a salad that isn't done right, especially a Caesar salad!

You see that pic down below? It looks fresh right?? This salad from Noodles and Company was absolutely on point!!!  Everything was fresh, from the salad greens to the Parmesan cheese to the croutons!!

This was a mouth watering treat!! I LOVED every bite!!

Whole Fresh Fish - Ton Kiang

One of my favorite things to get when I visit Ton Kiang is their crispy catfish in soy sauce and hot oil!!

This fish is everything the title says.  It is crispy, even while sitting in the soy sauce and hot oil!!

Yummy goodness is what this is!!! It may not look like much, but don't let looks fool you on this one!! :-)

Stuffed Mushrooms - Ton Kiang

People either love mushrooms or they hate them.  I am one of the mushroom lovers of the world!! I will definitely look for them on any menu that I get!!

In the pic below are Ton Kiang's crab & shrimp stuffed mushrooms.  They look tasty, and they are VERY delicious!!

Some things you just can't describe, these mushrooms would fall into that category.  I'll put it this way, a pic says a thousand words!!

Popcorn Shrimp and Fries - Dairy Queen

I normally just get the ice cream at DQ, but this time, I decided to try some of their food.

In the pic below is their popcorn shrimp and fries basket, which comes with a side of coleslaw.

Since they are known for their ice cream, I wasn't expecting much from the food.  I was pleasantly surprised!! This was a really tasty little basket!!  The amount of food was just right too! :-)

Peanut Butter Cookies - Made by Joann

My sister made some of her delicious peanut butter cookies for some friends!! I want to be her when I grow up!! ;-)

I bow down to the cookie queen!!! haha

Gummy Bears - Haribo

If you can find a person, child or adult, that doesn't like gummy bears, I would say that person hasn't tried Haribo gummy bears!!

I LOVE these gummy bears!! Yummy!!!

Fried Rice and Spare Ribs in Black Bean Sauce - Peking Express

I usually get chow mein when I go to Peking Express, but I decided to switch it up this time and get the fried rice. Their fried rice is really good, and cooked to perfection!!

The spare ribs with black bean sauce are so tender and juicy, and they fall of the bone easily.  This is a must try combo.  If I can say this...yummy goodness!!

Peanut Butter M&M's

I was "re-introduced" to these gems recently, and it brought back all the good things I love about these M&M's!!!

The traditional crunch of the outside shell paired with the smooth creamy peanut butter on the inside...you just can't beat this combo!!  

Of course I like other kinds of M&M's as well, but these are at the top of my list!! :-)

Shrimp Fries - Adalbertos

No doubt this is not the first time, and probably won't be the last time that I've posted these shrimp fries from Adalbertos!!

I can't help myself!! lol  These are the best shrimp fries around, at least where I live.  They are SO good!! The shrimp are sauteed to perfection, which adds to the wonderful delicious layers of this dish!!

Just look at this pic!!!  Mouthwatering huh??  Yeah, I agree!!!

Sauteed Bockwurst

This is something simple that I do with bockwurst, which is one of my favorite type of sausage!! I slice them evenly, then sautee them in a little butter and olive oil.

Bockwurst don't need much, because they are delicious by themselves.  I never use heavy sauces with them, because I want to taste the delicate flavor.

Soooooo yummy!!! :-)

Tri-Colored Veggie Penne - Olive Garden

In the pic below is Olive Garden's Tri-Colored Veggie Penne pasta! It is not only a very gorgeous looking dish, but just as tasty!!

If you've read my last couple of posts, you might have already guessed that this was the dish my daughter selected, and if so, you also know that I tasted it as well!! lol

A very well done penne!!! 

Little Doggie - Sonic

You know how you have one of those times when you are hungry, but not very hungry?  

Well it turns out that Sonic had the perfect answer for my dilemma! They have this cute little mini hot dog that they call a Little Doggie.

It has all the flavor of their full sized hot dogs but in a small package!! I loved this little doggie!! I'm glad they put this on their menu!! :-)

Strawberry Basket - The Old San Francisco Creamery

Now THIS dish, literally took the cake!!! I asked the waiter for something from their ice cream menu that would make a really pretty pic.  He immediately recommended the Strawberry Basket!!

I was a bit surprised by the size of it!! I don't know if you can tell from this pic, but it was HUGE!!!

I started on one side, and my daughter started on the other. Needless to say, we couldn't finish it, not even with two of us eating it!!

From the very first bite, it was delicious!! The ice cream at The Old San Francisco Creamery is THE best that I have tasted in a LONG time!! They don't fool around with their house made ice cream.  You can tell that they use all quality ingredients.  It was rich, smooth, creamy and delicious!!!

If you go there, you MUST try this dish!! OUTSTANDING!!!

Donuts - Krispy Kreme

DONUTS!!!! Who doesn't love donuts?? These were the donuts that my sister bought for our Super Bowl party.

Krispy Kreme's are the BOMB!! Love the fact that they tried to get creative and make mini footballs, and the XOXO's....CUTE!!!

Grits, Bacon and Omelette

I'm a country girl at heart, so I can't get away from my love of creamy, buttery grits!!

I just love them, but as I've said before, they have to be smooth and creamy. I added some crispy bacon, and an unconventional omelette!  Meaning, this omelette had left over meat from the tacos I made, mushrooms and cheese.

I was totally being lazy when I made the omelette, so I just threw my eggs in the same pan I sauteed the mushrooms in.  The end result was a very tasty, but not so pretty omelette!!

Crunchy Tacos

Tacos are right up there with burritos in my book!! These are some homemade tacos that I made using ground turkey, taco seasoning, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Of course I put Frank's Hot Sauce on mine...I love that stuff!

I used the square bottom taco shells so that they would stand up for the pic!!

Delicious!!!

Fruit Infused Soda - Sonic

I'm one of those people that rarely drinks soda, so when I do, I want something interesting and different.

I found that in this Sonic drink!! It is really tasty and refreshing.  I love the fact that it has fresh fruit in it that you can eat.

This is Sonic's Hawaiian Wave.  If you live near a Sonic, you should give it a try!!

Young Coconut

I've never bought one of these before, though I always wanted to! I went online to see how to open it, and thought for sure I knew what I was doing!

I had the idea, and the people on YouTube made it look really simple, which it would have been (I guess), IF I had the right tools.

They said you should use a heavy knife, well....that's the first place I went wrong.  My knives aren't heavy enough!!

After hacking at it a bit, I finally got it open.  I really wanted to have that nice pretty little round lid to pop up!!! ;-)

Long story short, the coconut meat was nice and tender and it was FULL of coconut water, which was delicious!!!

I should tell you that I'm not a big coconut fan, at least not the chewy kind! I found out that I actually LOVE the tender version!!

Teriyaki Pineapple Burgers - Made by Rashida

This is HUGE!!!!! I can't even stress what a monumental moment in time this was!! My youngest daughter does NOT like touching raw meat, and swore she never would touch it (I secretly knew the day would come..lol)!!

For her hubby's Birthday, she actually did this!!!! It was the funniest thing I've ever witnessed though, because she was in my kitchen going through all kinds of theatrics while molding the patties by hand!!

In the first pic are the burgers all seasoned, with the pineapple slices on top, ready for the George Foreman grill.  In the second pic are the burgers after they were grilled (just beautiful!!!).  In the last pic is my burger, which is topped with provolone and wasabi-mayo that she made.  Also in the pic are some homemade french fries.  Best flavored, juiciest burgers EVER!!!

The meal was a HUGE success!!! Great job Rashida!!!!
